Loneliness has an ironic way of getting into your soul. It doesn’t come when you’re alone with your feelings and your thoughts. In reality, loneliness is a thin blanket you wear everyday to sleep. But you don’t notice it’s there till you’re surrounded by people. And that’s where the irony kicks in. Even together, everyone wears the same thin blanket, unknowingly.
If you had only known loneliness all your life, you wouldn’t have felt any different. It’s the comparison of the situations and the feelings it awakes that get you. And that’s when you start feeling lonely.
If you’re lucky enough, you’ll find some people to share your blanket with, if not, there’s always tomorrow.
