Very slowly she opens her eyes.
She is used to be an early riser.
To wake up in cold Winter mornings and to wash her face with cold water.
But today, when she tries to get up, there’s something weighing her down. And although it’s Winter, she doesn’t feel cold.
That’s when she turns around and is greeted with a sleepy smile, half-lidded eyes and a whispered “Good morning”. She is surprised at first, but as she remembers what happened, she can’t help but smile back and whisper another “Good morning” in so soft a voice, before she snuggles up in the warmth this body provides.
Suddenly the idea of staying in bed all morning and washing her face with warm water seem right.
